I Wanted To Help This 88-Year-Old Grandmother Down The Stairs, But Then The Music Started

Some videos are just there to make you smile, but few are as full of happiness as this clip of an 88-year-old grandma dancing to the classic hit, “Runaround Sue” by Dion. She never expected to hear it blasting out of the car window as she exited the house, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying it one bit!


Do yourself a favor and watch all the way to the end because this sweet old grandma is going to have you beaming with joy. This video is sure guarantee a smile or two, if not a full-on laughing fit.

At first grandma seems like she is in a rush to get to the store, but the instant those familiar notes hit her ears it’s just like 1961 all over again. “Runaround Sue” is on the radio once more so now it’s time to dance the day away. Her joy so evidently shines through and is contagious. I bet you can’t watch this video without smiling or at least feeling a little happier. Several times throughout her, “performance” grandma seems to want to take a break, only to be caught up in the music once more. If only more of us could learn to enjoy those moments – far too often we end up just rushing off, spending our days running from place to place, appointment to appointment.

It’s important that as we get older that we don’t lose our personality or what makes us tick. It’s important to stay active, both physically and mentally.
